Archive for February, 2008This one is funnier than the Little Richard one. I love that some celebrities have the ability to poke fun of themselves and not take themselves so seriously all the time. Much like this Michael Bay commercial: I think people usually cry that the opposite is happening. Not me. I love my digital life. Between various forums, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube, text, email, there are countless ways to get in touch with people and share your life with your friends and families. That’s what I love about the web now-a-days with sites like Flickr and Twitter. You are instantly connected to what people, your friends, are doing. You can share everything from pictures on Flickr to videos on YouTube (I am working on a way to send Tweets out when I have new Flickr pics or new YouTube videos.) and your friends who live all over the place are almost in the action. This disturbs a lot of people, but I love it. Having a camera phone that I can take a picture on and immediately send it to Flickr is an awesome power of sharing. And I try to share whenever Ali and I leave the house. In fact, all the pictures on Flickr are from my camera phone of some of the stupid/dumb/whatever shit we see. Anyway… Life has been hectic here for us since Thanksgiving. Between everything the holidays entail, flying to and from Jersey, work being way too demanding for Ali and I (not that we’re not happy that we actually have jobs) apartment hunting again (yes, we were let out of our lease) and visiting with Madeline, we’re too tired to deal with our digital life. And honestly, (and kind of funny) most of the time when we are participating online, we’re at work. When we get home, we check in, but then veg out on the couch like an old couple. And I know I miss blogging and everything. I am going to make an attempt to reclaim my digital life. Well, besides Twitter since I never let that go, but there will be more Flickr pics, more YouTube videos, more blogs, more Mike online. I hope you can deal with it. |
