Today, the day before we move, I picked Ali up at The Planet and we went to go get our new house keys. They are working in the apartment and it looks great. We can’t wait to move in.

So after lunch, I dropped Ali off at her car, and she headed home, and I headed back to work. I got about 3 minutes from work and my car died. Just died. The day before we move the Danger Mobile goes and dies. Thanks, lil’ car.

I called Steve, and we towed it poor man’s style via a rope to the mechanic. Hopefully it’s nothing too outrageous. Next week we were going to start looking for new cars for both of us, doing the buy-back program the state of Texas is offering for cars 10 years or older, like mine. But it has to run. So run, lil’ car, run. Cheaply.

This just adds more fun to moving weekend!

And I have practically a full tank of gas in the car, too.

This morning I turn on my computer, and my MLB widget informs me that the Yankees are playing at noon. Awesome! I can watch my first spring training on the YES network.

See, when Ali and I wanted to dump Comcast, our only option was satellite, even though that wasn’t really an option. Our apartment faces the wrong way for a dish, and really, it rains too much here so that means outages, and we can’t have that. Then one day an AT&T rep came knocking on our door. “Step right up,” he says, “We’re offering fiber optics.” “It’s the future,” I tell Ali. We come to find out for a measly $10 more a month we could get so much more than what Comcast offered us. PLUS, the YES Network to watch Yankee games without having to buy a $300 MLB package on top of the normal cable bill.

Cut to today, I pop the TV on, go to YES, and the game is blacked out. FAIL. I called AT&T and they said it was network issues, and should be back and running in a day or two. It better be, because if I can’t watch any Yankee games this season I am going to be really pissed. This was a huge bonus in us switching over.

In other news, I got Ali’s blog up and running at http://www.tiaraclink.com http://www.southerndivasecrets.com. Go check it out.

We’re also doing a lot of cleaning and packing for our move in 13 days. Well, not really. We’re being lazy and stupid by not doing more. We’re making a little progress, though.
